Monitor and Control Charging of Your EV from the Palm of Your Hand!

Ipswich Electric Light Department (IELD) has partnered with its energy efficiency program manager, Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company, (MMWEC), to offer a rebate of up to $700 for the cost of the charger for fully electric vehicles (EVs). A rebate of $200 or $300 is offered to customers of plug-in hybrids (PHEVs)> To be eligible for the rebate, you must first enroll your charger in the Connected Homes program.

Charger Incentives

IELD customers are eligible for a rebate of up to $700 for the purchase of a charger for EVs and a $200 or $300 rebate for PHEVs after successfully enrolling it in the Connected Homes program. Refer to the table below for more information.

*Only ChargePoint or Emporia Smart Level 2 chargers are eligible for rebates.

To apply, please purchase a ChargePoint or Emporia charger. Install the charger (installation cost is the responsibility of the customer) and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Then, enroll in the Connected Homes program. To submit a rebate application, please select the “EV Charger Rebate Application” or “PHEV Charger Rebate Application” buttons on the right side of this page.
