Heat Pump Rebates

West Boylston Municipal Light Plant (WBMLP) offers rebates on heat pump systems. Refer to the tables below to see if your heating or cooling system qualifies. Click the “Submit Online Application” link or download the mail-in application to see the full range of options and get started. WBMLP also offers rebates on Wi-Fi thermostats/Smart HVAC Controls through its Appliance Rebate program. Please note that all heat pumps must be installed by a MA licensed contractor in order to be eligible for a rebate.

Must be purchased between 1/1/2026 and 12/31/2026. Applications must be submitted online or postmarked by 1/31/2027.

Massachusetts provides a sales tax exemption on the purchase of heat pump systems. For more information, consult your local tax expert.

Weatherization Rebates

West Boylston Municipal Light Plant offers Weatherization rebates on efficient home upgrades such as insulation and duct sealing. Refer to the table below to see if your weatherization measures qualify. Energy Saver Home Loan Program

Low and moderate-income Massachusetts residents may be eligible for the Mass Community Climate Bank’s Energy Saver Home Loan program which is available for energy efficiency and decarbonization projects that reduce the home’s total energy use by at least 20%. Eligible measures include heat pumps, home weatherization, roof replacement and oil tank removal, electrical system upgrades, new efficient appliances and fixtures, and installation of rooftop solar panels, battery storage, and EV charging stations.
