Commercial & Industrial Energy Audits
West Boylston Municipal Light Plant (WBMLP) C&I Audit Program provides energy audit services ranging from scoping (walk-through) audits to ASHRAE defined Level 2 audits. This program is for customers who would like to reduce their energy use but do not have an understanding of where they use the most electricity or are unfamiliar with the technology options available to save energy. Incentives through WBMLP are available to help defray the cost of the energy audit. Please review the program description for more details.
Level I: Site Assessment, Scoping or Preliminary Audit — identifies no-cost and low-cost energy saving opportunities and a general view of potential capital improvements. Activities include an assessment of energy bills and a brief site inspection of your building.
Level II: Energy Survey and Engineering Analysis Audit — identifies no-cost and low-cost opportunities and provides Energy Efficiency Measure (EEM) recommendations in line with your financial plans and potential capital-intensive energy savings opportunities. Level II audits include an in-depth analysis of energy costs, energy usage and building characteristics, and a more refined survey of how energy is used in your building.
